William McDonald / 21 / Profession up to RPer / FC: Zac Efron / Open
BACKGROUND >
William McDonald was a case of peculiarity and awkwardness.  Unlike the peers of his junior high class, William never grew out of his “awkward” phase.  As such, Will always tended to stay quiet in school, and that resulted in him not talking to many people and becoming mostly a loner.  He opted to take online courses for college, curbing his social interaction even more.  William grew afraid of human interaction completely after prolonged periods of never leaving his house.  When he tried to go out shopping for groceries or to get gas, he always noticed people—girls in particular—looking at him in a strange way.  All William could make of it was that he was such a strange person and being that they couldn’t help but stare.  Growing unnecessarily self-conscious, Will’s fear of people manifested itself in agoraphobia.  His mother made him leave and take a break at the Mahalo Maui Resort, having called in advanced to have his room resemble the room he had at home to make the transition easier.
PERSONALITY >
William sticks to books.  He doesn’t know much else, and they are his only escape.  Escaping from the dull, human-less life he has led thus far, books provide ways for him to see people, or characters, rather, in a new light.  He can read books comfortably because he knows that the characters can’t judge him.  Being judged is by far the biggest factor of why Will doesn’t leave the house.  But will a girl here be able to grab him by the shoulders and show him how much he means?  Will is here to get better, although he is adamant that he be returned home at once for in-house therapy sessions.  Will Will ever be able to get over the fear of newness and the insecurity of the open air here?
RELATIONSHIPS:
William knows the names of almost everyone here because he’s seen them on TV before, but he doesn’t know any of them personally.

Trent Lightly / 19 / Famous news reporter / FC: Matt Lanter / Substance abuse / Open Taken Reserved
BACKGROUND >
Trent was a no one.  He was the quiet kid in high school who liked to write for the paper and read in the library.  Sure, he could joke along and hang onto the popular jocks if he had wanted to, but he found intellectual things far more interesting.  Like science, and the news.  He was writing up a story on a serious drug bust when he became famous—the story, meant for his local editor, was forwarded to bigger newspapers who ran the story.  Suddenly his face was on the news—who was this boy, and where had such a great story come from?
It wasn’t before long that he was offered jobs with big name papers and offered suspenseful stories, most of which, unfortunately for Trent, dealt with drugs.  He went undercover for one story, going into the heart of a drug lord’s house, when he tried some for himself.  He was instantly hooked.  He used his knowledge to start his own mini plant in his basement, and began to fell alongside the other burnouts.  It only took one report card and a few firings for his parents to investigate.  Upon finding the plant in their basement, they sent him here and covered up for him to avoid legal troubles, explaining that he had various addictions and abuses that needed tending to.
PERSONALITY >
Trent is a fascinated guy.  Anything and everything, he’ll take an interest to it.  He’s trying to distract himself, so he’s up for every opportunity to get out with people and learn new things.  He wants to gain experience and become more cultured all around so that he has a baseline for his articles.  He’s work-driven, so he’s trying to take advantage of his situation—being sent to rehab—as best as he can for work.  He’s interested in the gossip that some people follow, and actually a bit irritated in the mindless junk some of them are infatuated with.  He’s your type-A kind of guy with a bit of a friendly side, in general.
RELATIONSHIPS:

Parents covered up for his drugs—they buried them and made up a story about where he went.

Nathaniel Spencer / 21 / Trying to break into Acting/ FC: Adam Brody / OPEN
Background >
Nathaniel was homeschooled, and he was an only child.  As such, he was kind of an awkward kid.  He didn’t get out much and never really out-grew that Saturday-morning cartoon phase in life.  He still eats sugary cereals and has a bit of an immature side which makes his dry humor all the more amiable.  His parents, father a successful doctor, mother a restaurant owner, were both supporting of him in everything he did.
When Nathaniel got into college, at Brown, he took a simple intro to acting class. It was there that he realized he had untapped potential on stage.  After finishing a major performance for his class, an agent approached him, and by the time he graduated he’d scored a few recurring roles and managed to snag a lead in an indie film.  Now, he’s become a bit self absorbed and preoccupied with trying to get more fame, more twitter followers, more money, more press time, and more everything.  He’s become a diva, demanding complete attention and people to essentially wait on him hand and foot.
Personality >
Nathaniel, being an only child, was always the immature presence in his household. Rather than trying to change it and fight that, he embraced it.  He continues today to still use his young childish and slightly selfish sense of humor to his advantage, always adding a dash of his intelligence to conversations in a self-deprecating manner.

Chris Owens / 20 / Singer / FC: Tyler Blackburn / Dependent Personality Disorder / Open - Taken - Reserved.
Background >
Chris has always worked very hard. He’s always been a very laid back guy, and his foster parents always believed in helping him, and his foster siblings, be free spirits. He was always encouraged to work and do anything in his power to achieve his goals, and do anything to pursue his passions. He was extremely well behaved, and his foster parents were some of the most loving parents one could have, always treating him like their own biological son. They taught him not to dwell on the past, and not to worry about the future that was ahead of him, but to live in the moment. He and his parents always kept his ego in check, and they raised him to be a very loving boy, who would be friends with anybody, no matter what shape or size they were.
When Chris was only 12, his mother died, causing his father to give up foster parenting, resulting in him and his brothers and sisters being split up, and sent to new foster homes. Chris was sent to a foster home where all of the other kids were much bigger than him, and had worse behaviour than him, causing him to get very little attention. To top it off, his new foster parents did not believe in the whole free spirit thing his old parents had taught him, and shot down his passion for singing, causing him to become very sad, and what some may call a little clingy, only because of how his parents neglected him.
Chris loved singing. It was his biggest passion, it spoke to him, and got through to him when nothing else could. When his new foster parents would ignore him, he would sit in his room, and write songs about how he was feeling. Most of his earlier music is very dark, and sad, but as he got older and moved out on his own, his music became happier, like himself.
Personality >
Chris is very laid back. Despite what his second foster parents told him about how being a free spirit was dumb, he still believes in that very much. He’s kind to everybody he meets, and almost always has a smile on his face, no matter how he may truly be feeling. Because of his Dependant Personality Disorder (DPD) he depends on others way too much, and can sometimes come across as clingy. He’s almost never alone because of it, he becomes easily hurt over bad criticism, and often fears being abandoned.

Mick Stacey / 19 / Model and Actor / FC: Nico Tortorella / Anger Management Issues / Open Taken Reserved
BACKGROUND >
Mick, short for Michael, grew up being the most popular kid in school.  No doubt it was due to that charming smile of his and his acting in school plays, where he typically got the Prince-Charming-like leads, wooing girls left and right.  He came from a mediocre family; he was fortunate enough that they all lived together, but his parents were distant from each other in raising the kids and his sister was desperate to get as much attention as Mick began to receive.  One day when he was walking around in LA, a modelling agent walked up to him and had him try a shoot right there.  His career as a model took off, and about a year ago, he picked up acting again.
PERSONALITY >
Mick is a humble guy, who is grateful for the circumstances that were against most odds that got him where he is today.  That said, he knows that he can’t let people walk all over him and he’s began to expect a certain reaction to people meeting him or to him trying to work his charm on a few special dames.  He’s not a flirt, but he has become accustomed to having every girl interested in him, and is perplexed when they aren’t.  Despite attractions, Mick just wants to be a friendly person to everyone.  He’s got a kind heart and a quieter soul, and he strives to work up friendships to the point where the other person can trust him to be a shoulder to lean on when they need it. But if you strike a fuse in him, you can ignite a fiery rage that will quickly diffuse itself, but as part of his anger management problem, he can be stubborn, rash, and irrational during these fits.
RELATIONSHIPS:
He was introduced to Wisteria once for a photoshoot, but she didn’t talk much to him.  Other than that, he doesn’t know anyone on the island personally.
SECRETS:

Steven Kirkpatrick / 22 / Writer and Director / FC: Ian Harding / Borderline Personality Disorder / Open
BACKGROUND >
A product of the system, some people call him.  Steven knows not his parents, and he knows not where he was born.  All he knows is that he bounced from house to house from Maryland, DC, and Virginia.  He never experience abuse in any of the homes he resided in, but that doesn’t mean he ever experienced any sort of familial love.  He had some friends, but was never popular.  He was one of those wallflower kids who was able to observe everything going on around him from a young age.
It was in the tenth grade when Steven fell in love with literature and writing.  He had been taking a creative writing elective and his English teacher romanticized the whole thing, and it worked.  Ever since, Steven was writing shorts for papers, magazines, script-writing for commercials, and, eventually, he got a break writing some TV scripts.  It was after a dozen episodes when Steven realized he also wanted to direct his work, so he now does a little bit of both, but prefers the writing.
PERSONALITY >
Steven’s been a bit of a loner and anti-social since he realized he liked writing.  Being the practical boy he was, he knew that breaking into the writing field would require diligent work, time, and so much effort that he lost the time to get drunk or high on weekends.  Being said, he’s grown into a respectable wunderkind of sorts.  But why is he here? His fiance jilted him at the alter a year ago, and ever since, he’s been in a deep depression.  It got so bad that his work was becoming somber, morose pieces and he was told to take a sabbatical.  He’s trying to be more open and sociable here with a positive attitude, but will the other actors—master deceivers—be able to see right through him?

He  wanted a way to escape his reality and found it in books. He soon became a teachers pet, and by the time he hit middle school, he knew that being a smart guy who wasn’t a total kiss-up was how to be well-liked by his peers. In eighth grade, Ian signed up for the school’s annual play, he wasn’t a lead character, but he still enjoyed being recognized. When he started high school, he went into it loving acting, and he started taking part in every school play available.
